Rear wiper won't stop

The latest trick played by my D3 is to have the rear wiper fail to switch off. It is in intermittent mode, and regardless of the switch position, or whether the front wipers are switched on or not, it happily grinds away every few seconds, and just to add interest, if I place the switch in the ON position for rear wipe, the rear washer comes on, and stays on!

Anyone had this problem? I'm not confident our newly-appointed dealer will have a clue and I don't want to waste a day confirming this if it's something I can fix myself; in the meantime, I've removed the wiper arm before the glass gets damaged.

Just sounds like a dodgy switch/wiring has dropped a place in the order that they should work.

Just a sugestion Tony but take the fuse out just to stop it constantly working the motor. If, that is, it is accessable with normal hands & not hidden behing tons of other wires & stuff.

Thanks Gentlemen, a search round the car has not discovered anything obvious, and the fuse ( No. 48 I think) is one of those located behind the glove box and my aged, well-used back will not bend far enought to access them easily Rolling Eyes
I left a message with our Brand Spanking New Dealer to talk to the Service Manager at 9.00am - so far, five and a half hours later, I'm still waiting for him to return my call... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
