Recommendations for French campsites for next year
Would like to start planning for next year now that we have our own caravan
Have booked a week at La Croix Du Vieux Pont in May but would like to spend 2 to 3 weeks over there in August - have seen Chanteloup and Pin Parasol mentioned on the forum.
Must allow dogs
Any pluses or negatives on the above two or any other recommendations

Chanteloupe is great we have been 9/10 times no and love the friendly atmosphere. or other event from go carting, tree top walking etc You can do nothing or get involved in site BBQ's in front of the chateau, pig roasts laid on at a small cost.
Ask Wildrover he joined us for a few nights at the site and I believe he and his family enjoyed it.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Pin Parasol is great if you have kids - and great out of season if you don't
It takes dogs and the adjacent lake is good for dog swimming.
If you don't have kids and want a relaxing site close to nature I'd encourage you to look further afield than the CC / C&CC sites though. For example:

I need a site that has pet sitting for when we are heading off to do something that's awkward with the dog. 90% is fine but it's the 10% where we can't leave him in the van for 4-5 hours (don't think they let you) but want to maybe do a french market or visit an attraction that doesn't allow dogs.
