The Red Pearl gets ready for Santa's

Here is a list of mods I will be/hope to make to the Red Pearl before Santa's Challenge. Along with a few other extras needed.

Removal of front and rear bumpers
Removal of spare and re load into boot along with another spare
Shortening of exhaust tail pipes
Removal of spare wheel winch
Fit a waterproof 'bung' into spare wheel winch hole
Fit 4T recovery eyelets to Chassis 1/2 way down the length of the car (1 each side)
Fit Christmas lights to the roof rack
Fit skid plate to underside of gearbox
Fit skid plate to underside of exhausts and up to rear bumper
Make something to protect exposed items as a result of removing the front bumper.
Locate and fit reindeer horns to grill
Locate 4 Santa suits 3 x men 1 x woman

I'm sure there will be more. I will take pics and post info as works progress Thumbs Up

I remember reading the initial post and what the challenge was about, but never realised that you would need to prep the car more than it already is.

Hat's off to you mate Thumbs Up

Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Can't wait to see it in action on the 7th Thumbs Up

For going to these lengths to show what the D3 can do, you'd have thought forum members would be pouring cash in to the Ray Of Sunsation kitty Whistle

I was just thinking that as well Shocked

Not at all experienced at off roading by any means, but that suggests intense trial ahead.

Are they permanent fixtures Andrew, or easily removable? Looking at the second photo I'd guess they're a temporary fixture.

Let's just hope they're not needed Whistle
