Rejecting my car because of multiple compressor failures

Wondered if you might give me a few thoughts on this one please.

My Disco is now on its 5th compressor (see the following topic http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=90 for futrher info).

Anyway after this compressor started to fail, I told my salesman that I wanted them to replace the car, he said that he would put the paperwork in to reject my current car and do me a deal on a new HSE.

They are still however trying to fix it and after they spoke to LR technical they have replaced the reservoir block and pressure switch. Since doing this I have only had the 'vehicle raising slowly' message which they say is normal and there are no faults showing up on testbook anymore.
They want to monitor the car weekly for the next fortnight and have also said that if this car is okay and I still reject it I could end up with the same problems again! But they wont tell me what my options are until after this fortnight.

I do not believe that this is normal for the 'vehicle raising slowly' message to be displayed, the compressor can also be heard sometimes from within the vehicle. The car on occasion can take approx 1/2 mile to raise to normal vehicle height which cant be right.

Appreciate your comments.

This is a public site, so cannot say much, but I think with so many compressors, it is not the car but the mechanics. Have LR technical been out to see your car. If not why not. It is half the price of a small flat so they should. Skoda would send out a technician straight away from HQ if they had even half of this sort of problem.

I would love to do a survey on garages, but the last survey was hard enough, garages would be impossible.

Sorry guys but if you had purchase some white goods for the kitchen or a new Hi Fi system, top range of course, and they kept breaking down. You would have been back to the supplier demanding your money back, just before checking the sale guys parentage.
What is different about a D3 that goes wrong time after time after time.
The only thing I can see is about £45,000 plus!

It is a simple mathmatic problem PIP. We are small fry trying to take on big fry. Small fry stands little or no chance. Big fry has all the chips in one hand.

I really don't know. We get so many varied tales from LR. Pelyma for instance has just had a service on his car and been told his car, which he tows with was never been told by testbook that it had a tow bar fitted. The dealer has now said it will cut out the rear intensity lights when a trailer is fitted, which it didnt before and as far as I know no other UK D3 does.

I have been told by a very senior CS person, that I need a special loom only available from LR Germany to do just that and they have ordered one for me.

A visit I think is only going to bring out the big PR guys with bull poo.
