Remote central locking not working at all.

My remote central locking is not working now. I did notice other day alarm was going off twice for no reason. Now I have to climb in the passenger side.

Any advice or recommendations please. Last week when it was really cold the car would not start straight away and the battery did start to make that slow whir whir sound as if I was running it down, but its started fine since. I also noticed my Bluetooth kept disconnecting from the phone too yesterday.

Thanks

You don't say if you have a sunroof and your car details are not displayed.

You may find that you need to do the '3 wire splice'

Good luck

Unless you or a previous owner has addressed the sunroof drain elbows they will be perished and allow water to leak into the floor. Check your carpets, press down on them and see if they are damp or oozing water.

There are a few very good threads on here detailing how to change the elbows or the complete pipe. Not expensive, just time consuming.

The '3 wire splice' would be my bet why your central locking has stopped working.

Thanks, but it started working again after 1 hour run in the car. Its stopped working again now though. I work from home so do little miles a couple a day maybe. Could it be battery related?

My money would be on the 3 wire splice mentioned above. Mine did the same thing, intermittent then packed up completely. Not a big job to do the wires and definitely worth checking.
