You are pulling the green knob out until you see the red/orange collar underneath, aren't you? If not, the big, locking pin will not fully retract, and will not allow the towbar to locate high enough in the slot. Andrew

Hi All
Many thanks for the assistance.
I finally fitted the tow bar this weekend.
I did not realise that I had to pull out the the green lock, I thought you just had to turn it.
