Removing Rear plastic sides in boot area

I want to remove these side trims that go from passenger seat belt to the very rear. The have vents in the tops and storage boxes and the jack is stored in them. Does anyone have a diagram or know how hard it is to do ? Previous owner had a dog and it covered in dog hairs. Alternative is for a detailing firm to remove them and give it a deep clean.

If you pull off the rear rubber surround around the boot hatch. then it is just on clips which pull out. Probably pics in Wiggs gallery somewhere..... Wink
Don't forget to remove the peice of plastic (kind of triangular in shape) aroiund the striker post forst though.

Depends on how much you want to take it off, but you'd also need to remove the wire cable going to the boot lid too (just watch it doesn't spring back entirely....)

As Bodsy said, the guide is in Wiggs' gallery....http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...emoval.pdf

I did the same job on mine recently - the previous owner had a St Bernard so lots of hair to remove!

Was there a lot of hairs down there? Think its worth doing but no mechanic, don't even have the sockets. Anyone in the NW able to help me with this ..

It was quite 'crabby' behind the panels, yes. Was definitely worth doing on mine. If you can borrow a basic socket set this is an easy job really.

Just rung the local LR Dealer (Kentdale in Kendal) and they have offered to remove and reinstall free of charge!! Thumbs Up

They have a second year work experience lad and he will do as part of his training.

Taking it in Saturday morning first thing.
