Removing side vents/grilles from a face lift (2015).

Youtube makes it look easy by just pulling out the bottom of each vent.

In reality it just bends and I am afraid of snapping off the two lugs.

Any tips? Is it a very careful screwdriver job as knowing my luck it will probably slip Big Cry

Removing the front grille on my D3 was dead easy but on this one I have unclipped it at the top and tried pulling the bottom two out reasonably hard to no avail. Again is it a case of braving it and pulling even harder Crying or Very sad

A piece of narrow webbing.
Thread it in over and out under the central spar.
With both ends in your hands, give a sharp tug.

Good luck Thumbs Up

Btw not responsible if anything untoward happens.
This method did it for me.

On D4, open the bonnet and go down the bonnet hinge with a 12inch rule, job done. Wink
Much better than ripping them out and hoping and praying nothing breaks.........which it probably will. Big Cry
The easy way:

I do it the same way as Narpy says. Less chance of doing any damage or breaking the lugs off
