Replace the Fascia on 6cd Head unit |
|
I got a spares or repair head unit from ebay to hopefully replace my damaged LCD. I've taken the fascia off the old unit - is it ok to swap the fascias or is there some 'code' in the fascia that will render this useless or is the code in the main body of the unit? If that is the case I will have to get someone to just swap the actual LCD which is way beyond me... 2006 TDV6 HSE Wrapped Matt Black STOLEN NOT RECOVERED

Swap away no code should work straight away. The flat cable is a to get on the back of the facia, a lot easier if you open the stereo and unplug the other end of the cable.

just reread your last post, good your sorted. Hope all the buttons are working and the facia is in good condition. If not, it is relatively straight forward to change the plastic facia or repair loose buttons
