My next project is to repair/replace the failed wing mirrors on my 2006 HSE.
Neither side power fold, and before anybody asks yes I have checked the F16 fuse!
Additionally both sides stall on up/down in/out adjustments.
I suspect both the power fold motors are all gummed up or worse still burnt out.
I do have a new brown relay coming but I think they are shot.
The easiest solution is replace them and I've seen a pair of clean D4 ones going for sensible money. The wiring isn't the same but if I swap wires around from the D4 single plug to the two D3 plugs they should work OK?
Physically they are the same aren't they, mounting holes etc.?
Anybody done this?

Genuine D3 powerfold 300 quid, copy ones 150 quid each
My attempts to find anything useful on this forum using the inbuilt search facility is pitifully lacking in any meaningful results!
Any pointers?

Could you point me to the Ebay seller or anybody else who sell replacement D3 Power fold wing mirrors because I can't find anybody! Plenty for the non Power fold variety but none for the ones I need Power fold!
note the bit about "memory" as it's come up before. if you have mirrors that expect memory to be enabled, they don't do well if you haven't. tilt downwards on reverse but don't return to right position afterwards.

I'm really having fun with the car!
Just taken the drivers mirror off and guess what, it only has one connector, but there are two on the car!
Also the mirror switch is the one with one pin missing!
The power fold relay is where it should be in the CJB along with F16 10amp.
So it should have a mirror with two connectors to give it memory and power fold facilities!
So it looks like some nice chap or chapess has done some 'replacing of parts' in its history.
As the car had its Bluetooth module missing when I looked behind the rear panel, so I'm not surprised that the wing mirror is the wrong one!
So I'm now in the process of looking for a replacement switch, this time the correct one! YUF500030 and NOT YUF500010 as is there now!
Anybody know what the correct part number is for a drivers wing mirror with memory and Power fold?
Tomorrow I'll take the passenger door card off and see what beholds that side!
I knew somethings would need repair and /or replacement but wing mirrors and the switch wasn't one of them!
Still the body is good, the discs look quite new with no lip and the pads have plenty of meat on them!
The parking brake shoes come this morning so that is my next job.

Ian my apologies as I have just looked again and I had at the time assumed having two grey plugs meant powerfold and looking again on ebay it seems that is not the case, I went genuine in the end for speed as i wiped it out on a pick up!
There are a few 2nd hand ones on ebay one pair for 275.00.
Hi lynalldiscovery
I saw those ones on Ebay! The photo show a picture of a wing mirror WITH two plugs for power fold, but the ones they are selling are called none (sic)-power fold!
Why can't they show the correct ones?
The search goes on!
Best
I have a replacement mirror coming tomorrow and hopefully a new switch tomorrow or Wednesday, it is coming from Latvia!
My switch was lacking pin 8, used for the power fold circuit!
Well I suppose if you replace the mirror for a basic non memory or power fold why use a fully pined switch!
I don't have enough room in the garage to open both the drivers door and passenger side so when I have the drivers side all put back together I'll do the passenger side unless it all works with a proper switch!
