| Replacing TDV6 Vacuum Pump With V8 Electric Pump |

Hi all
So I have been reading about how the vacuum pump on the TDV6 is prone to failure, and can put oil into the brake booster damaging that as well. I did a bit of reading up and found the V8 version of the D3 has an electric vacuum pump, and i was wondering if anyone has tried fitting one of these instead of the engine driven unit on the TDV6?

Not on a D3 but seen them fitted to other vehicles like a TDI D1 in place of a mechanical pump, i think its a great idea  Any 12V vacuum pump can be used.
