Tyre size for 19" ATs

I've got a set of 19" disco HSE wheels which I am planning on throwing some ATs onto. What is the best size tyre to go for? I think they are currently fitted with 255/55.

General Tire do either the AT3 or the X3 in 255/55/19. Both are very good, had them both myself.

Thumbs Up

I currently use 255 55 19 Duratrac in an S rating, been very pleased with them but I believe they have since downgraded the speed rating now Rolling Eyes

Whilst the Duratrac rating has changed from S to Q it’s the same tyre other than an additional Kevlar band to sidewall. Incoming regs forced the rating change, they’re now designated as a Pro Comp tyre (as is the GGX3)
GGAT3. Pirelli AT & Cooper Zeon LTZ all H rated AT’s & all are 111XL

Ran Duratracs on 2 cars, tried Coopers & binned then after 9 months, IMHO not a patch on Duratracs.

Goodyear have launched/are launching a new AT tyre this year.

Made up with my AT3s on 19". Smooth ride, lower noise than the AT2s and sure grip in recent snow/sleet. Not had chance to try muddy yet. Look good too.
