I'm now (in additon to EGR C faults) getting the error code P057800 cropping up. I clear it and it comes back.
This is a cruise control input A circuit fault. Clock spring maybe???
This is, the cruise control works perfectly! And there's no warning lights. If I couldn't read the errors with my faultmate, I wouldn't know the fault was there! Have a nice day!

And that is the beauty and danger of owning such pieces of kit
If you use the kit to diagnose problems you are aware of, then it is a really valuable tool if it can help reach a proper diagnosis by reading fault codes etc.
If you use the really valuable kit to go hunting for problems that are not obvious in use, then to some extent you are being a tool.
Buy it by all means (i probably will when pennies allow) , but use it sensibly or end up being no different to the hypochondriac flicking through the medical dictionary looking for their next illness I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Wasn't chasing faults . Just checking to make sure the other EGRV hasn't also gone as I have only two weeks left and have ordered the other one already.
I have to go in for a wheel alighment and to have software upgrades done. The dealer will see this and I don't wish to pay for their time tracing something.
The dealer is 720km away and I can't afford to go there every second day. Maybe if I lived in a country as big as a postage stamp, thing's would be different!
Just hoping someone would have come across this. Maybe the software update will nake it go away. Have a nice day!

Looks like it was a software issue.
Was there for a week despite clearing it several times.
Drove 400km on Friday, cleared the fault before I went and used the CC a fair bit.. It hasn't come back yet.
It's been a while since the car has been connected to IDS. Have a nice day!
