RLD Rock Sliders

Finally got round to fitting a set of RLD's rock sliders today. Very easy to fit Thumbs Up

I didn't think I would need them, however when I removed the plastic sill trims both my sills were damaged. The left was so bad that I had to do a bit of panel beating to flatten out the damage before I could fit the sliders (pics tomorrow). TBH having seen the damage to my sills, if I was to buy a new D3 the first thing I would do would be to fit a set of these sliders.

Would any one like me to post fitting instructions Question

realy easy undo 2 screws each side rear wheel arch carefully pull the sills off and you will be left with some yellow fastening studs which need to be removed or made flush to recive the RLD ones ,fitting new ones off road height get the sill on the ground ,put a couple of bolts in underneath but leave slack so you can move the sill ,work your way to the front where you will have to mill the last 2 holes out as they are a bit tight Thumbs Up hope this is ok.

Leave the mud flaps off... they will only get broken off anyway. If your needing RLD's Sliders then you will not be having any flaps attached for very long Wink

Will you include pics of the sliders?

Managed to get some pics up. Here are 2 showing the damage to the left sill. The plastic cover was hardly marked.

So I assume that this is what the sliders are designed to prevent?
