Hi all
I have a small challenge when it comes to things like roof boxes. I can see a couple of trips in my future where I will need one, but I live in a flat in London and have nowhere to store it.
I would rather not leave it on all the time, if at all possible. So just buying one and leaving it on all the time is not an option. I have a D4 HSE, MY12 with full length roof rails, but I don't have any cross bars or a roof box.
What I was wondering is if there was anyone out there would would be willing to loan / rent one to me?
Or if there was someone that lived anywhere near London (preferably West London) that would be interested in buying one with me and storing it?
I guess its like the courier network for people without garages.
Has anyone attempted this before? Had good / bad experienced? And is anyone interested?

I have a thule roof box, full roof length, with cross rails. I like the idea of renting out as I only use it a couple of times a year. Located near Sevenoaks

strangely enough I heard an advert on the radio today where people can rent their "less used" belongings out to people, can't remember what it was called but it might be worth looking up on it.
Not sure how trustworthy/reliable it is, or anything like it is, just an idea. 2014 D4 XS

I guess the thing to work out would be what happens if it gets damaged.
There is nothing worse than having that argument after you've lent or rented something to/from someone. And accidents do happen.
I guess it would depend if you were a part owner or actually just renting a box off someone.
Well that is two options. I will see if we get any more takers. If not, then I will be in touch once I have my final dates that I need to arrange something.
Thanks for piping up.
