Roof rack extension

Hi all

Is there anywhere I can but the added length of roof rack rail, and bolt on with the existing standard?

Or would I have to buy the whole new thing?

I've not seen anything like you describe but complete rails can be had for about £120. yes, they are cheap copies but the only difference anyone ever reports is the plastic bits at the front end are, er, very plasticky and need persuading to clip in properly. if you warm them up first it helps.

The Land Rover Expo rack is designed to fit the short rails, with an extra leg at the front that picks up on the "hidden" nut in the roof. In fact, it is a bit of a faff to make it fit on the full lenght rails!

I replaced the OEM short ones for OEM extended one’s because i thought the look better, which they do, BUT they are noisy! Really... a significant amount... above 50 km/h you start to hear it...

Bottom line: think before replacement...
