They're not allowed on Caravan Club sites.. not heard of C&C Club banning them though..

After turning up with a Caravan in tow @ a caravan club site on the 22nd of July I was advised that Roof tents as pup tents not accessed from within the vehicle had been banned.

Fortunately I had room in the caravan for the intended roof tent occupant. I sent a email to the director of the caravan club outlining my disappointment and dismay!

I had a call from him yesterday and they have now revised the policy and from today will be allowing proper roof tents used as pup tents within the pitch area!

WooHoo !!!!

I have an email from the director himself stating that they are now allowed on this basis and I have been informed that all wardens have now had a similar email. Club Forum Criminal !!!

Maybe the rest of the occupants of the sites complained the roof tent made them feel like they were camping amongst the serengeti wildlife Smile
