Roof Tent Mounting rails

Finally managed to get myself a cheapish roof tent, unfortunately there’s no mounting rails and direct 4x4 don’t sell replacement rails.

Does anyone know were I could get a set in the UK or even think of an alternative?
Cheers Thumbs Up

I had the same issue with a 2nd hand Howling Moon tent I have.
After unsuccessfully searching for replacement bits, I ended up using an old Thule roof bars which were the perfect width. They have a 'T' slot on either end which allowed me to slide some nuts along for attaching to the roof bars on the car. The Thule bars were then bolted straight through to the base of the roof-tent.

Hope that makes sense.
I've not got any photo's but can get some tonight if you want.

Hopefully some use.

Sandy.

Sandy, many thanks for the reply.
I ended up getting one from frontrunner from Belgium.
Really didn’t want to pay the £30 postage but at least I know it’ll fit, as I’ve got a habit of buying items and getting them to make do and they never look right.
Again thanks
BoBo
