i have just recieved my sticker this morning and cannot decide where is best on the back to put it, i couldnt make my mind up either which colour i wanted as i have a black HSE so i ordered orange and grey (as i thought grey may not be too in your face)

Where has everyone else stuck theres?

Just had to say how pleased I am again for the 2nd year running taking the D3 to France for the family hols.

2 adults, 4 kids, roofbox and every other piece of space full (despite the promises from last year from SWMBO not to take as much stuff - yeah right!)

I got an indicated 30MPG - not worked out the true figure. More importantly the D3 was great at a constant 80mph, with plenty of power despite the load, and lots of comfort, even on the back row.

Not at all happy just been to a festival in cheshire with all our stuff loaded up on the cross bars when coming home we stopped at the services for food and i had left my wallet in one of the bags on the roof so i climbs up and CRACK!!!

looked down and everything seemed allright except looking from inside the car the glass is a right mess!! not happy one bit! expecting a really hefty bill upon repair ...

Myself and the smaller Nashers got a chance today to try out the 'Hay Bale' type Bike rack I picked up on ebay a few weeks ago.

I've wanted one of these for a while, but couldn't justify the £140 - £180 they always sold for on ebay used, and certainly not the new price.
I was on ebay at just the right time when this one was put up at £65 Buy it now, and the guy was even travelling near to my home a week later so I didn't even need to go too far to collect it.

Hi, new here on this forum, i had a 200tdi ,a 300tdi ,2 Discovery 2 , and Finally bought a LR3 HSE and kept my Disco 2 G4 ,cant wait to collect it on Monday, i fill like a child who cant whait for my Toy!!!!!

Did my first tow with the D3 today, very impressed indeed!! No more struggles up the hills, stability was superb and bags of power. The only fly in the ointment was the on-dash trailer symbol, which flashed as it should when indicating, but stopped flashing at times. However I think I have it sussed, on the tintent is a LED high level brake light. It does appear the trailer symbol stops flashing after a couple of flashes when the brakes are applied. I guess the LED light is fooling the bulb...

So....with that, all the things to be sorted out:
Suspension fault
Cruise Control
Door locks
seat belt trim
Fog lights
Ignition issue

Now, the SA said that he thinks the door locks and cruise control could be related? Steering column?

thinking of taking the plunge and upgrading to a d4 wondering what sort of value my 04 is worth,bonati grey ,alpaca leather usual se spec new tyres new brakes [pads and discs] and of last weekend a new wheel bearing in mint condition with 55000 miles and some landrover service history serviced by my self at 45000 with the help of this forum. any rough gude would be appricated so that i can do battle with the lr sales man thanks ...

Had all the bells and whistles going off today, special programs off, suspension lowering (which it did!), ABS, no speedo and even transmission overheating.
Got home, calmly checked rear lights to find a stop lamp out, change bulb and no further problems.

So thankfully after reading on here, the bulb was the cure, BUT

It does seam crazy that all this happens because of one duff bulb ...

Hi all

not had d3 for long but noticed black smoke when i bought it.

replaced intercooler hose and blanked off egr.

Air filter seems clean.

Black smoke appears half to full throttle with no warnings ojn dash and power seems ok.

Any ideas?
