Been looking round for ages and have finally found a D3, it's a Green HSE on a 55 plate with cream leather interior, 85k on the clock, side steps, tints, fridge etc etc etc.

I have bought it from a Honda dealer for a reasonable price, it comes with ONE years warranty, 7 days insurance and a fresh MOT, they are also doing the 7yr/105k service before I collect it, tidy motor with some real minor issues which I think can be rectified by asking stupid questions on here.

Today is the last day with my Discovery 3.
Despite all the bad times, I will be sad to see her go. My two boys were almost in tears when I told them last night. My youngest son begged me not to change the car.
However, her Stornaway Grey replacement will arrive after work tonight.
I can't wait to get her. I'm sure the boys will love her too. Lots more buttons to play with.
Can you guess what it is yet?

Eventually got D3 back after the horse accident and the bodywork has been replaced / repaired well. New wing, door, mirror, wheel arch interior, front bumper quarter, various trim etc.

Took the opportunity while it was in body shop to get the widows tinted. I wen for Dark style (considered Limo) and it seems to go well with Buckingham Blue?

D3 seems strange after 8 weeks driving around in a brand new D4, but she is great and its good to drive my own vehicle...

2006 HSE (at 110k a pop over here):

Hi everyone,

Picking up my 54 SE Disco3 on Friday. Just found out it was imported from Ireland last year.
Found out from the broker who needs to talk to the insurance company before insuring it.
Confirmed by HPI.
Is the Disco worth less UK supplied car?
Are there any other problems I am likely to have?

I have owned a 2005 Discovery 3 for 3 weeks now...
Rear tail gate door stopped working...broken cable, had that fixed..
Rear parking sensors stopped working...faulty wiring loom....awaiting a new loom !!
Hope that's all the faults done!!??

Hi all just an update on my D3, we have now done over 3000 miles in it inside 3 months, the clutch has now stopped slipping so I put this down to fluid from when Hamlins removed the glowugs ( drilled out ) we put our caravan on the back and went for a trial run to see if the clutch would slip but no all was well, this included a hill start on wraxall hill (blooming steep one), Mandy is not keen on the looks of the D3 but loves driving it and loves the ride (it is now growing on her) so all...

Hi guys, I've been visiting and reading this brilliant forum for a few weeks now and finally decided to join, so hi to everyone.
I'm currently looking to buy an early (pre 55 low tax) D3 HSE but I'm torn between the diesel engine and the V8 petrol with an lpg conversion. We don't clock up too many miles per year, on average around 7 or 8000 with the odd trip to France thrown in every now and again so I was wondering what peoples thoughts are on here about lpg conversions on the 4.4...

Evening everyone!!
Been a proud owner of my 54 hse for a week now and I absolutely love it!
Going to attempt the egr valve blanking tomorrow using the guide from here.
Never done any kind of mechanical work before,but really looking forward to having a go.
