Does anyone know if there is any modern tech that can legally repair a sidewall of a tyre nowadays? Just got my gaffer to purchase 4 GG AT's for his RR and he is over in Derry at the mo working and when he came out of his hotel this morning some loon had put a knife or screwdriver in one of the sidewalls of the brand new tyre?

Ive just recently purchased a set of 235/70 R17 to put on my D3, i currently have on 255/ 60R18 but want a good set of off road mud tyres for the shooting season.

any advice as to what the best tyre to fit as none of the ones i want seem to fit either tyre? should i run with a different width and if so any suggestions??

So Which? are saying that LR have 91 models (including the D4)....23% of which have a spare wheel and 77% have a puncture repair kit

Anyone enlighten me which models form the 77% ?

So, nice easy job; fit new brake pads.

So the wheel nut key stripped out, knackering the top of the locking wheel nut in the process.

Anybody had a similar experience?
How did you get round it??

Just got these back from my friend who painted them, bought them last month from a forum member, now for the dilemma of getting rubber on them.

Andy hasn't got LTZ's in yet and i have been quoted £612 for 4 delivered from someone else. Is that about right as i haven't nothing to go on can't get a price until there in stock. I am looking 285/50/20 i have a set of conti 4x4 that came off them as they where on a RRS not right weight rating.

I'm searching for a new set of tyres for my D4 XS. 255/50 20 (109Y)
First place I've been quoted is Costco. Everything all in at £263.98 each for a set of Michelin latitude diamaris tyres. Come June 10th there's also an offer coming through although there not sure what it is yet.
Just a quick ask, are they any good and any pointers if I can buy anywhere cheaper before I call round the usuals.

Got a flat tyre today so got the spare wheel and found it its a 19 inch but my standard alloys are 17 inch , is this ok to drive also the nuts off the alloy don't look like they fit right on the steel spare wheel although it is tightened up nicely, soquestion is is it ok to drive on short trips ie 3mile.

Hi guys and gals. Only recently got by d3. Thing is and I have looked, I need some info on tyres. I have 22 inch rr stormer wheels on it with 285 35 22 uhp tyres on it, great for road but not so good off road. Now I love the wheels and the only option I can find is the cooper discoverer ltz tyres at 305 40 22.

Question is, would these rub atall?

I know most of you will say bin off the wheels and get smaller ones but if poss I want to keep them.

Just purchased 4 new General gt's. to replace my worn out scorpions which are between 2&3mm and are tramlining really badly. I found it difficult to decide between gt and at however the disco is only used on the road and the closest it gets to off road is pushing the caravan onto a grass pitch so although the at,s look good I suspect the more road biased tyre will suit my requirements better . I'll be fitting these myself on Saturday morn and am looking forward to testing them . Bank...

Had 4 General Grabber ATs fitted about two weeks ago and thought I'd post my thoughts so far. They look much better than the Pirelli Scorpion Zeros that I had on before (IMHO) and are great in the mud. No tramlining either, which the Pirellis suffered from terribly, even when they were new.

They are quiet at motorway speeds but seem to have a howl to them at about 40mph, which I find quite pleasing, but then perhaps I'm strange!!

just travelled an hour and a half to buy some "genuine" 20" stormers. Got there and there is no LR stamp and rated at 900kg.
Gutted, am I right thinking these are no good for D3?
