Hi all,

I've been reading numerous posts about installing various items but none seem to answer my next question. I'd like to install the standard touch screen in place of my cubby hole. I have the 6 disc IHU and Harmon Kardon. The only reasaon i want the screen is for dvd player input, reverse camera and 4x4 info. My question is what loom i need to integrate a touchscreen into my existing system?

Many Thanks

view forum post

in the msv-2 -> airbag : Crash Record Output Circuit General Electrical Failure, Circuit Short to Ground Or Open

I have limited sight in my left eye, and am contemplating a rear view camera, but have moved on to cameras front & rear!

I have decided on Blackvues front & rear - both hard wired, but have some questions.

I could buy a GVIF Interface at £240 less discount from Ian - HIDS4U. An elegant solution, but an expensive interface to use only for a rear view camera.

I've had my 05 HSE V8 for a couple of weeks, the only niggle is that the audio source changes by itself every so often (15 mins or so)

I initially thought it only went from cd to radio, but I've recently fitted rear DVDs with a feed through the aux input and it went from aux to radio once. It always seems to default to radio.
I am fitting a Roadhawk HD to my D3 HSE (2005).

There are two wiring in options for power.
1. Indirect via so called ignition switch (on a diesel).

2. Direct non switched. System has protection against flattening battery.

In either case which would be a good point to connect to?
Although it has its own fuse I would prefer to connect via an existing fuse.

view forum post
_________________
D3 HSE Diesel Auto 2005 Zambezi Silver.
Hi, had my 2005 HSE V8 for a couple of weeks, decided it was time to get the kids some sort of screenage in the back. Bought a supposedly new Rosen A7 (ceiling-mount) off ebay; while waiting for it to arrive I had a look at the wiring above the dome lights and could see no switched live, so was wondering whether to just put a switch on the unit rather than feed cables down pillars etc (bit scared of doing that kind of thing..)
A7 arrived, looked like it'd been lying on a...

view forum post
I finally got round to looking at my freelander screens I bought from nick a fair while ago. Unfortunately one of the headphones is as dead as a dead thing. Spoke to nick and he can only get new ones and despite him doing a good deal they are still to much dosh.

Does anyone have an old set they dont need or does anyone know if other lr ones will work ie range river ones.

Hi I know this has been covered to death but the search brings up quite a bit of old info. I was edging towards the blackvue because it seems popular on here but the googled reviews seem to suggest there are reliability issues with them ( overheating etc). A couple of alternatives that keep cropping up are Finevu and ITronics which have decent reviews.

Would like to get something around the £100 mark but I think I might need to be upping that to £150.

	Guys,

Brand new member here having bought a D3 at short notice, seems like a great place! I have been doing a lot of reading to try and answer my question but there is so much excellent info out there I am finding it difficult. I have bought a D3 HSE with Harmon Kardon system. I would like to have a video/audio input to the screen (for DVD or Raspberry Pi) and also iPod/iPhone control and connectivity. I understand that neither of these are optional as standard?

	Hi Guys, Newbie here.

I have just upgraded my Disco 2 for a Disco 3 and loving it. I have the S model and was looking to upgrade to a screen at the front as mine dont have one. I am interested in a Sat Nav and reversinf camera and also blu tooth connection for me iphone 5.

Any suggestions where to go - there is a bloke on ebay that apparantly does them for about £1400 for the above, I wouldnt mind spending a bit to get it looking good inside like a top spec...

view forum post
Hi! I've got the 2005 LR3 HSE with a 6 disc changer. It used to work fine, but now it started giving me "Disc Read Error" errors every time I try to play something. I can hear that it spins the CD up and tries to do something(I can hear the laser head moving), and the changer itself works. I've been to the official Land Rover garage in Newcastle, but they said that from their perspective, they can only change the entire radio unit(for a whooping 650 pounds). Well, is there anything...

view forum post
I the connected a Belkin F8Z492TTP Bluetooth music receiver to the aux, then hide the gubbins behind the glove-box.

The tablet does a good job as a car system with apps like "car home ultra" great for big button lay-out.

Quick question on the above subject.
I've bought one to update my 07 discovery sat nav as I'm heading to France in a few days.
How good are these for touring in France or should I be relaying on a good old map? (That's a new map by the way)

	Hi all,

so... I have an 'old' HTC HD2 as I switched to iPhone some months ago.
It has a nice 4.3" display and runs on windows whatever (6.5 I believe).

I'm looking for a use for this thing in the car. I have a car charger for it so power is no problem. But what to do with it... it doesn't have much memory so audio player is not really an option.

The car has navigation so that is not really needed.
