What's the opinion on the D4 2.7 version with manual box ?

SWMBO refuses to drive my auto car and wants a D4 but with manual.

They seem pretty rare but must basically be a D3 engine and box with new body ?

Hi all, in previous vehicles, I have used the ventlock to vent the boot whilst the dogs are in the vehicle. However this won't work due to access to the button to release the boot. Does any one else know of anything similar?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

I've just bought a detachable tow bar from eBay which, although stiff on the lock, just seems much too big to get in the fitting bracket on my D4 anyway - inside it just looks too narrow to fit the thing.

Has anyone else come across this? Am I missing something?

Our d4 let us down in France last year (trivial computer glitch in the end) we are going to france again this year, I'd like the car checking before we go, but not servicing - what do I need to ask for when I ring LR?

I have just been looking at an instruction video on Youtube for the D4 Navigation system. My D4 is a MY 2012 but the video looks like it is dated 2010. The video shows a very different interface than mine in that the input screens have a curved effect. Is this a selectable option or did something change after 2010?

Has anyone upgraded their maps lately? My D4 will be 2 years old in September so I am wondering whether there have been any worthwhile improvements or just...

Just back from the dealers this morning and they had a fantastic book chronicling the journey from Birmingham to Beijing....8000 miles in 50 days.it was a brilliantly photographed,in-depth record of the preparation,and the trip itself.
I asked if they had any others for sale,and he said they only got 1 from LR as a marketing exercise.......however I did notice it had rrp £25.99 on the inside cover......which suggested to me it might be for sale somewhere......I hate fleabay and...

I saw a Jaguar in the Stratus Grey color at the JLR dealer, but didn't have my Causeway Grey D4 to compare. Are they almost the same color? My sense is that Causeway is a little darker but both are great colors. Has anyone had the occasion to compare?

I've a 2m old HSE and am wondering about a couple of things ahead of a drive down to the Lot, so any help will be gratefully received:

1 - is there any way to enable the daytime running lights in auto mode? the manual seems to say they're only activated when "off"?

2 - is it true I don't need to do anything to the headlights to drive on the right?

3 - I'm trying to find a spare bulb kit but can't quite work out which one I need,...

We bought a 59 plate Discovery 4 from Farnell Land Rover in Leeds, the car had approx 30k and is an HSE model, since buying the car we have had 38 different warranty issues.

On one occasion I happened to be in France (Brittany) and the car decided to die 2 days before returning home, end result stuck in France for an extra 5 days whilst LR arranged parts with the local dealer to make repair under warranty.
