Hi,
I am replacing my alternator and i am trying to remove the fan. I am having trouble griping the pulley that holds the fan on. Is there a knack to remove the fan? I know it is a left hand thread so it is clockwise look at it form the front ... correct?

As the title reads, I'm after a set of tyres (ideally 5, but will happily put a set together from a variety of sources).

Spec wise, they must be 255/55/R19's and have the correct loadings for a D3.
They are for my newly acquired "Winter Wheels" (Thanks to "The Transformer" ).

Hi, My wife's 55 plate D3s suffered a total loss of power the other week on going round a tight left hand bend, the same thing has happened again this evening, causing her to end up on the other side of the round nearly hitting another car. All lights went of the dash and total loss of brakes and power steering !!

Any ideas / clues much appreciated

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help, i have a GVIF interface unit that i'm selling as never fitted, but i don't know if it actually works and could do with testing it before hand.

Does anyone in the warwickshire area or nearby have one installed that could just swap the unit over to test it for me, and then i can confirm that it is all working etc
I have the Adaptive Xenons and need to fit European headlights. The handbook tells you how to change headlights generally and i'm with that. Just a quick couple of questions though:

1. I assume the units are a one for one swap?
2. Do i need to get LR to do anything clever with the car computer set up to make the car realise...

view forum post
_________________
1996 D1 (Legendary workhorse) - now KIA

I am no longer a Discovery owner (long story!) and therefore have no further use for this kit.

Caranex tent in very good condition, specifically to suit Discovery 3 or 4................... £190.00

Ikea memory foam mattress 'modified' to fit exactly in Discovery 3........................ £130.00

Full set of 'Blinds' for Discovery 3 will be given free of charge to who ever buys the mattress.

I have barely used this stuff...

view forum post
Noticed recently an odd noise from the front when cornering, then on Saturday going round a roundabout the steering wheel seem to try to snatch out of my hands. Looked under the hood and noticed the Power Steering hydraulic fluid was low (not empty but well below minimum) Called LRA, after a couple of hours their local technician phoned to confirm when he would arrive to check out the car. After describing the problem he said he didnt even need to come and look at it, he new it was a common...

view forum post

Happened yesterday again and the kidnappers got €300,000 for a few hours work ...

view forum post
_________________
A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
Fuel filler cap broke this morning, jammed on had to smash it to bits to get it off (no derv in tank so bit of an emergency). Going away for the weekend so needed new cap quickly, rang three localish dealers - all no stock. Guess who had one on the shelf and could get it in the post today? You got it Yeovill Land Rover; Nick's not there but his colleague, Craig, was equally as helpfull and efficient and got me out of a right tight spot. ...

view forum post
