After several years happy ownership of an 06 D3 hse, a year ago I 'upgraded' to an 11 plate D4 XS. The relatively short on road demo was fine with the 3 litre engine and firmer suspension giving good account of itself. I use my disco, fill it up with heavy toys, tow a trailer, caravan and sometimes use the 7 seats with the grandsons. Never opened to the sunroof on the D3, other than to look for cracks and leaks so thought we could do without that and others have suggested the lights on...

the rear box

Mine seems not to be fitting snug on the NS so the exhaust rattles, but LR only sell the front section with the coupling

Looks like any awful lot of money to me when he has 2 perfectly good standard controllers, but I don't play so what do I know .

So, I got called out a daft O'Clock last night and had to try to find an address in the middle of nowhere in a maze of unlit country lanes.

Obviously I used the sat nav. However even though it was dimmed with the dash lighting control, in my photophobic-just-woken-up state at stupid O'Clock in the morning it was too bright so I fiddled with the settings.

Selecting "night" mode colours was much better on the eyes at that obscene hour but...

Hi All,
I'm going to change the diff oil and have invested in a Laser dispensing pump. Although it's supposed to be brand new, it has a small amount of oil in it, as if it has been used. Does any one know if they are supposed to be like this.

Just had my air con fixed. I took others advice on the forum and stayed well away from the fast-fit outlets. Two leaks found, one from a valve under the bonnet, the other from a hole in the middle of the pipe to the rear. It took 3 hours due to difficulties removing/replacing the air tank to get to the offending pipe. Many thanks go to Nigel at Derbyshire Air-Con Mobile Services, the car has gone from zero to hero. ...

Friend of mine was following me today and pointed out the when accerating or going up an incline there was considerable amount of black smoke coming out of exhaust on my D3

I have a BAS remap could it be this ?

Hi everyone,

in the last couple of weeks I have been using this forum for more information on the Disco,

after long thinking I bought a 2013 Discovery 4 in Orkney Grey and beige interior.
Unfortunately it only has 210bhp but I am very happy with the full screen navigation!

The car is still in Italy but will arrive here in the next week or so.
Then a conversion to 2 seats in order to profit from our tax laws!
