Rubber filler for A bar

I think the cable ties are a good idea maybe fit even more in a cris cross pattern secured with hot melt glue. They are flexible enough but will tie the filler into the structure of the A bar

Many thks and indeed good call using some more in the cross cross pattern , hopefully will work better as every filler I previously used just fell out

So I used the hot glue gun to secure the cable ties, then threaded it through the foam , found some washers but there metal so will find some plastic ones so there’s no risk of dissimilar reactions from the filler

Need to shape the foam so it’s fits alot better , can then use some more cable ties on the ends so it secures the foam , just wished to share in case this may be useful to others in the future , really hope this filler will work

wondering if it will be best to mix up little bit at a time so I can then gauge how quickly it goes off

Did try and add some more cable ties but very difficult drilling into the A bar foam as it wanders very easily

As always many thks as the help has been invaluable
