Rust - Already?

OK Guys, I presume this isn't normal but what seems odd is that these rusty bolts are on the nearside only. The car is only 3 months old! Sad

Edd,

Give them a wipe with a cloth you might find its a type of wax stuff, My wife had the same on her fiesta around drain holes in the doors I thought it was rust untill I wiped it.

Done that, most definitely rust - no paint on at all.

I'm happy to tolerate it as long as others have a similar thing and it hasn't got worse. It's just odd that it is only on the nearside and it hasn't ever been out near the sea or on a salted wintery road (or proper off-roading) yet.

I've got no rust there, but I have got rust inside the tow electrics cover on the lower edge of the crossmember, and there are a fair few rusty welds on the chassis.

I also just got a new set of wheel bolts of the dealer because they were going rusty.

rust

you may find your doors needed adjustment at pdi and when loosened to adjust the torx drive socket has chipped the paint leading to rust a quick shine up and a touch up ..pointless having new ones fitted as the same will happen..if you bring it to your dealers attention i,m sure they will sort it

Agree with last post. I pointed the same issue (drivers door) out to my dealer when it was in for some other work and they cleaned them up and painted all under warranty.
