There's also a lot of mods you can do to a GS - mine now is at HSE spec without the leaking sunroofs and I've enjoyed every minute most of it
I owned a HSE Lux for 5 months this year. 2 years younger than my GS - EU6 etc but didn't feel any better than my current one so kept that instead Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

If you’re considering keeping it then why not spend a little cash refreshing its look.
I’ve always done this to the Land Rovers I've owned for a number of years.
A few options:-
A different set of wheels (as you mention).
Go down the “black pack” look - not everyone’s taste tho (got it on my grey D4).
Give it the (cosmetic, rather than full on) MY14 model updates eg grill, rear lights etc
Change the interior dash/door trim to something different, add a few bright trim bits (but don’t overdo).
Give it the “off road” spec eg AT tyres, sump protector, raised air intake, roof rack etc.
And if it’s your taste (not mine) you can go down the “bling” road …… I’ll stop there.
Doing some of the above will change the look and the feel of the D4 for you.🏴
