Sadly due to lockdown, I have been unable to progress the stripping of my D3 to a conclusion.
As I have been 70 miles away from it during the entire lockdown. it has been left as it was in
March. I am now having to deal with an uncontrollable pain in both my ears due to the amount
of time the D3 has been sitting.
So I am looking to sell the entire D3 as is to someone who will need to trailer it away.
There is very little in the way of interior but all the wiring, ECU's etc are still in situ.
2 keys and a steering wheel
Exterior wise the bumpers, mirrors lights grill have been sold.
All rear brake components have been removed. Front calipers are still fitted.
Suspension compressor removed.
The engine is complete with cylinder heads and injectors but the front cover has been removed to confirm that oil pump still intact.
The gearbox is complete as it the transfer box
Both diffs,axles and exhausts still fitted
Had new front arms fitted less than a year prior to meltdown
Comes with its 4 wheels and tyres
The vehicle is located in Cumbernauld, no up to date photos as I'm not there but can meet buyer when required.
£400 and happy to accept a pair of earplugs as well
The vehicle is currently SORN'd and you will require to complete the new keeper details on the V5
on removal.

What was actually wrong with the engine ?
From the other thread was your millage 80k odd ??

Never got to the cause of the breakdown
I was originally recovered to Elite Landrover, they had 2 years prior fitted a new oil pump and timing belt, I wanted to confirm that the oil pump and belt were not the cause, after this was confirmed I decided not to investigate any further as the costs would only mount.
I then had the D3 recovered to Cumbernauld.
The mileage was around 137k
There is also around 3/4 tank of diesel on board
The gearbox had a full service carried out at Mackie Transmissions (authorised ZF) at 86,000 miles
and the full underseal carried out by Preserve and Protect in 2018
