Selling due to lack of use!

I have owned this Discovery for the last few years, (it is my 7th Disco and THE BEST that I have owned) I bought it from a fellow forum member. When I purchased it there were a few issues.. everything that was important or mechanics related has been sorted.

Last MOT (16th April 2019) No advisories – 247,204 miles
Current miles is 247,855
Yip. I have driven a total of 651 miles since the last MOT - and that includes a return trip to Chester!

Good Points
It’s a nice spec Land Rover Discovery
Huge amounts of receipts, including turbo and Electronic Air suspension all being done in the last couple of years (last owner but not many miles ago)
Virtually FSH
Belts all done aprox 18k Miles (3 years ago)
Xenon Headlights upgrade
Black leather heated seats
Electric memory Front Seats with arm rests
Fridge in the Cubby box
Heated Front and Rear Screen
Removable Tow bar & Electrics
Front and Rear parking sensors

New Fuel pump (500 Miles ago)
Recent New Air Suspension rebuild (<3k miles ago)
Recent Transfer box (< 3k miles ago)
New Battery 2 Months ago (still under warranty)
Chipped/Mapped so a little quicker than the norm..
MOT until April 2020 no advisories (Happy to put a full 12 months on it unless my pants are pulled down on my selling price!)
A Service kit will be included in the sale (Oil and Filters)
Belts Done by previous owner iirc.
No smoke or turbo lag etc.. the turbo was replaced a few thousand mile ago.
*Will now come with a replacement rear bumper with parking sensors

Bad Points & Some History

248k miles (just running in really) The first 160k was apparently a director motorway lugger then was used by a furniture maker.
It’s had dogs in the back on some occasions (when the road to our house cannot be driven in the van) so there could be some dog hair I’m afraid.
*There is a crack in the rear bumper which has been there since I and the last owner bought it.*
The radio has decided to stop audio output from when the battery packed up in November! The sat nav and 4x4 info is fine is fine. It had a parrot kit fitted, the wiring still there. I might be causing an issue.. I don’t know as I have not really dug into it.
It has a bling chrome grill.

There are receipts for a LOT of work by the previous owner totalling £thousands..
I tend to do all the work myself - but I have receipts for the parts that I have purchased

If you are looking for a capable and comfortable workhorse it could be the one for you. Its not perfect, but its a Land Rover!

Fyi.. Its on a SORN - but I have a private road where it can be driven.

I have dug into the history and receipts of my Disco. and I have added more photos... later in the listing.

The car was owned by CRD Performance and was their demo car for a while. Which explains why it drives the way it does. I have their original listing for when they sold it.. and if you look you can see its been Super-chipped to give better performance

Full service INCLUDING BELTS was done @ c230k years ago (aprox)
Subsequent annual servicing has been done since (but not the belts obviously!)
A New LR High Pressure Fuel Pump was fitted aprox 3 years ago c230k
A New Borg-Warner Turbo was fitted (aprox 3 years ago c230k
A New Propshaft was fitted at 229794 miles
Wheel bearing replaced at 243339 miles
I have also replaced (and calibrated) the handbrake shoes, Brake Sliders, Brake sensor wires, Front and rear pads and disks in the last 12 months
I have just fitted a new upper tailgate switch.
I also replaced the little auto gearbox selector thingy that is on the side of the gearbox from where it connects to the gear selector.. (these snag and stick if you don't use lube)

I'm not sure its a good idea to leave the boot liner in with the sale.

You'd be far better selling it separately.......................... to me

Phone Mode should be a piece of cake to fix. Ignition off Remove H Trim, remove stereo, unplug MOST fibre optic & Ignition on.

Then Ignition back off, reconnect fibre optic & you're away!

Thanks for that. I took the fuse out and in but no joy.

If I get time (which is my biggest challenge) I will have a look and see if I can sort it out before selling..

I see there is snow on the way... Do I might just stick it on Gumtree when the white stuff hits

UPDATE:

I should also be able to include a good condition rear bumper (with sensors) with the Disco (Negotiations are ongoing with SR

)

So the Discos will come with a replacement Bumper

AND

A DISCO3 sticker in the rear window.
