I made the rack last year as I couldn’t remember what I had due to it all being congested in it’s previous location, swmbo thought it was going to be a family coat rack but by the time I had hung everything up , there still wasn’t room for just my crap and the bigger downside was , swmbo could now assess my collection ,
You have no idea how many times I have been informed that I have 23 green jackets !! totally ridiculous, you can’t wear that many ( she hasn’t noticed that some are double depth )
Anyway , I have decided , not that she is correct ( but she is ) but that no spare space means no more garments , so in short , these are a few of the items to go.
If you aren’t familiar with Harkila , it is a Scandinavian company that produces some of the nicest and most superbly engineered , well thought out pieces of clothing I have come across.
Expensive granted , but when in your hand you will totally get it , simply superb quality and will give many many years of service.
Obviously pitched as shooting clothing but could happily be worn walking the dog or nipping for a pint in winter.
Sizing is always an issue , and the Scandinavians must be broad if chest and long of arm , I have finally
determined that regardless of the garment , in Harkila I am a C48 upper and a c48 lower.
Now in normal speak that equates to 32” waist and 38”-40” chest.
But.... that is a roomy fitting, the jacket would happily fit a 40” and likely a 42” chest with a base layer , shirt and gillet underneath.
The trousers are a c46 which is a 30” waist , which is actually my size and they fit just fine but due to a medical issue ( too tedious and pointless to describe ) I can’t wear them so now wear 32” for the extra
room they offer.
The boots are another issue I have , due to having slightly different sized feet , I always struggle with the one is too big or too small problem , and generally buy footwear and kid myself that they will bed in or it’ll be reet it invariably never is and my bigger foot hurts and my smaller one slips about so they just don’t get worn.
I have now found my perfect boots and have a few pairs of Meindl boots which fit great with no discomfort for either foot. YAYYYYYY ultimately making the others redundant.
Hence they have been barely worn at all , nothing wrong with them, just my odd feet and me wasting money
So, enough background , this is what I have.

Harkila Pro Hunter jacket,
Worn maybe 5 times , absolutely mint condition , just washed with Nikwax tech wash, size is C48 , I would say happily fit 38”- 41 , maybe 42” dependant on shape.
2 layer Goretex ltd membrane, a mass of tech and super useful pockets and features, a superb removable and very adjustable hood , fleece lined hand warmer pockets and the jacket as per the trousers has a soft peaches finish lining so can be worn against the skin and feels lovely.
Superb unmarked and barely used.
Rrp I was around £495 ( the current icon pro hunter is £600)

Harkila Pro Hunter trousers
Size C46 30”” waist , and a true /nice fitting 30”, again mint condition and barely worn, just washed with Nikwax tech wash , first and only wash they have had.

Low lander stalking jacket by Thistle of Scotland.
A gorgeous jacket pitched as a stalking jacket but can be anything you like.
With a Porelle membrane , happily on par with the high end Goretex materials and claims better breathability.
Awesome colour that has had many compliments , fit wise it is a Medium, I am 38-40” chest and there is ample room and I would say will happily fit a 42” chest no problem.
Length wise it comes down past your backside , maybe half way down your thighs, but with the elastic adjuster nipped up , it can be flipped up under itself and worn as a shorter jeans pocket length jacket.
Bought from Swillington shooting supplies , I paid around £250 for it , it has been worn 3 times and only twice in the wet.
High fleece lined collar and huge lined hood , neoprene wrist sleeves hidden in the cuffs so no water or wind goes up the sleeve.
It is just too nice for rolling around in ditches and pushing through hedges.

Again , barely worn , mid weight ( but by no means heavy ) brown suede outer and the canvas back section type portion is actually a green in colour , maybe not obvious in the pics.

I have 3 Harkila sets, but not a pro hunter and they really are the biz.
How easy are the Harkila boots to drive in? I ask as I have the Harkila 12" Pro hunters, and there is just no flex in them at all, even to drive a disco.Last of the D4 HSE...

Buy the pro hunter stuff as an incentive to go on an extreme diet , therefore justifying the purchase
I got the boots as a more flexible alternative to my Meindl boots for when out rabbiting , so I could crouch or kneel , as the meindls as your Harkila boots have no flex at all and are all about support for ankles when stood and walking.
I know what you mean about driving , you end up pivoting on the heel , great if you are in a mission everywhere , stamp on throttle stamp on brake not nice for normal driving though as it feels weird and uncomfortable.
I will have a specific fondle of them when I get home , I will also look at the boots as well and remind myself of flex etc and post the results when done. Procrastination is the thief of time!!

I drive in my Douvre Extremes no problem, but I don't like them too tight, best boots I've owned I have the other problem Harkila comes up so big that it doesn't fit DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

I too have the Douvre Extremes and they are lovely but I do find them a struggle to drive in comfortably, due to solid non flexing midsole , leaving the upper eyelets undone or loose helps to a degree but I still find it odd feeling , whereas my Bhutan pros, though similar in stiffness are easier as they are not 12” high and give a bit more free movement ankle wise.
As you say , awesome boots for a given purpose Procrastination is the thief of time!!

So , having had a fondle of them I can confirm they are super supple in the midsole and feel very much like a tough waking trainer.
Plus they are so light. , more or less a full pound in weight lighter than your Pro Hunter boots per pair.
So half a pound lighter each foot , and I would have no issue driving in them or wearing for pretty much any activity.
