spotted several times silver D3, local metriculation (fredhugo?), you even followed me at one point.
Also Stornoway 57 plate HSE "everywhere" I was.
.......most D3's were Dutch or Belgian though...... end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Wasn't me -
Did you have a good time in Samoens? Am a big fan - good for skiing hols where you're in a group with lots of mixed ability. Not much a great amount of tricky stuff though. Been there a couple of years now. Got stung last year going towards the end of March and it was a little slushy.
Probably going higher up this year - just looking for a last minute two weeks mid/end Feb.

Hi John
Actually stay in Morillon normally as family tie there. Love the area, as you say not hugely brilliant technically but I am only an average skier so don't mind that so much. The runs are all on the "easy" side for their grading so even I can manage blacks (well after a fashion anyway). Also it is normally quite quiet (outside of hols) once you are away from Tete de Saix. Our Skiing is normally a family event with all generations so it is good. My son has just turned 3 so he has now started skiing as well
PS it was good this year, much better than last year, all links etc. open this time.

Excellent - sounds great! I love the peacefulness and charm of the place. Can't stand ski snobbery (that's normally inversely proportional to ability ) or the Brits abroad thing - so Samoens is just great - love the whole area. I normally drive down and then pick others up from Geneva - so works really nicely
Wish I'd started skiing at 3! 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

Yep... hand baggage only. I moan about it, but secretly it's a really nice bit of piece and quiet - I really enjoy the drive down. Did it once with an overnight stop and slept in the car because of all the gear on the roof - but now it's an early start and down in a day. Looking forward to doing it in the D3 which cruises slightly better than the D2! 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
