Sat nav ‘initialising please wait..’

Hi

Out of the blue the Sat Nav won’t show the satnav map, it just sits with text on screen saying ‘initialising please wait..’ also blue tooth connection to my phone has been lost. Radio and all other screen are working fine so I’m assuming non technically it’s a hard drive issue? Anyone had this before? Seem to recall someone suggesting to disconnect the battery and do a hard reset? Does this work and how would I do that?
Thanks in advance

Marc

I had a similar problem but a hard reset didn't work for me. Probably a different issue but the dialogue through to outcome is here :- https://www.disco4.com/forum/audio-cuts-166108.html

Thank you for the note.

Just come back in from doing a hard reset and I'm lucky as its worked and maps and bluetooth connection fully restored to normal.

For now panic over
