Sat nav and lanes
Just come down a little potholed lane near me that runs along the Goyt Valley - met a bemused Escort driver who had followed his TomTom slavishly onto the farm track looking for Bredbury Hall hotel - I had to advise him to drive very carefully the rest of the way! Bl**dy technology!

Tom Tom will quite happily send you up the Corrieyairack (should you choose to tell it that's where you want to be and, impressively, it knows that you can't get through the other end , meaning you have to go all the way back again Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
