Sat Nav System on MY 2008.5 XS

I am collecting my first ever Disco on Saturday. Thumbs Up A VERY good deal on a new car tempted me out of my X3.

The Sat Nav that comes with XS seems to be rather basic and lacks stuff like TMC. I've had TMC for the last 4 years on my X3 and have come to appreciate the information it provides. The question I have is this: is there any way to activate TMC on the system in the XS? I know on some BMWs and Mercs there are hidden menus and hacks that can turn on funtionality. Is there anything similar on the Disco?

Thanks for the response. I think I may have to invest in one of the new TomTom's that have both TMC and the Road Angel safety camera alerts.

thats prob the best idea mate
there is talk of a much beter system in 2010 but i am only going off hear say
no doubt if you put a shout out someone will tell you the best one to get Thumbs Up

Thanks for the link (I did try search but didn't find that thread) but after reading it I think I'll go down the TomTom/Road Angel route. £800 will buy a few TomTom's and pay for the camera subscription.

why don't you replace with a kenwood 421 with TCM. Research it, price wise v. Good, lots of top notch features.
