Talking of current satnav software, I am going to Croatia on holiday shortly. Does anyone know if support for east European countries will be available for the satnav soon?

My HSE was supplied new at the end of April 06 and the disk is version 13 too.

I picked up my HSE last September and found out last night that my disk is a version 12.

The version 12 disk does not know about the A1(M) Wetherby by-pass (which has been open for over a year now) - does anybody know if version 13 does?

Does this also mean that the 'new' M6 toll road is also not on the version 12 disk?

I have v13 of the maps and I've been up and down the new bits of the A1 a couple of times recently. I dont think the Wetherby bypass is on, and I'm certain that the new bit by the M62 is not on either. It actually thinks you've joined the M62 when you go past. (They seem to run parallel for a bit.)

Thankfully, the LR sat nav seems quite forgiving of going off road at 80mph for a couple of miles. My Navman used to lock up completely, and Tomtom does go on a bit about going to the nearest road.

Shan't waste my money upgrading to V13 then as it doesn't seem any better than V12. My old TomTom used to know about the Wetherby bypass but the new Ferrybridge bit used to tie it in knots – I used to have to turn her off to stop her from giving me complete ear ache: 'turn right' turn right' on and on like a demented parrot Banging Head

At least the disco sat nav - designed as it is for the off-road fraternity - doesn't mind you crossing fields and fording rivers and canals at motorway speeds Laughing

Oh yes, I've done most of it Shocked ... the last bit's a bit difficult as there's not much chance of slapping Mrs. 10 with an Armadillo - think it wouldn't like the chocolate custard much either Rolling Eyes

Very happy

Ive just had a call from LR Customer Care who have confirmed that my vehicle was fitted with the wrong disc and that they would order a new one at their expense and i should have it in a few days.

Apparently the most up to date disc is version 13 which was issued in Sept 05 and not the 04 disc that my 06 vehicle came with.

It amazing how things turn out when you speak to the right person and one who cares about your problem. Very Happy

Ireland 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

I obtained the 500013 DVD on ebay recently, so just thought I'd post with my opinions...

Very little changes as I had thought from a quick glance at a RRS at my local dealers with it.

In particular, the final south section of the M50 in Dublin is still not there (would have opened around the same time this dvd was created, though TomTom with it's useless Teleatlas data actually had this). The M1 Dundalk bypass isnt there either (also open nearly a year). The new outer ring road in Waterford is not there either (open a year). The 'new' dual carriageway limerick bypass is now there (was not on the old DVD). Also has some more detail in small towns. Version file claims it's the 2005 maps. The Navteq 2006 maps definatly have a huge amount of extra detail in Ireland (99% of all roads, even private lanes near my house are mapped!), so hopefully LR and Denso will release YIW500014 in the near future and with the 2006 maps!

YIW500012 DVD now for sale! Wink

Brendan.

The Mansfield bypass is also not on the 13 dvd. It has been open for almost a year.

AFAIK 13 came out in August/September 05, so hopefully a similar date for 14. I keep getting my dealer to check their price list to see if it's on it every time I'm there! Wink
