Im a bit of a Detailing addict...

You want to get as much of that of as possible before touching the car and don't go the full on jet wash route.

I would cover that in snow foam initially and then rinse from a distance.

Then go for a strong prewash such as AutoBrite Citrus Wash (I'm an Autobrite fan)

Then see how it looks, I would on my vehicle continue pre wash such as iron out etc but that'll do you a good start and limit the additional damage down during dirt removal.

That said though, if you are hitting it with a DA you will want it clean as possible to not move contaminants on the paint.

I’ve had the Veleting guy round today and good news he’s managed to sort the scratches out, and for £25 am well chuffed.

EGR Valves Blanked
Aluminium sump guard
Tree/Rock sliders.
Bank Account - Empty.

He used a rotary car polisher, not sure what product he had, then was buffing the bodywork with a lint free cloth.
Sorry could not be more help on that front.

To me for £25 it’s worth speaking to a local mobile valeter.
