At last i have managed to get a new disco 3 out of Land Rover picked it up today  after 9 months of trouble with my first 1.
Had to part with £1500 though 
Dont supose that was bad though.

What sort of mileage had you done  £1500 for a new MY06 seems a pretty chaep upgrade  Jim

10 air compressors, 1 fuel sender unit 1 clutch in total 15 breakdowns of which the car was recovered 6 times.

10 compressors?
15 breakdowns?
I think I'd be pushing for a full refund and then negotiate a good discount for no.2 or £500 comp. for the aggro.
BTW is that Misterton in Somerset/Dorset? If so, was it Yeovil LR? Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Sounds like you were incredibly patient to get as far as 10 new compressors!
This looks like an unenviable record. I wonder what the general press would think about such reliability? I am surprised LR haven't gone a little further for you than a £1,500 'upgrade' price though. Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles

They should have paid you to keep this out of the press mate !
With all that trouble I'm surprised you managed to do enough genuine trouble free mileage to rack up £1500 worth !
I'd go back and say... "hang in a sec Mr LR..."
