Shiny Blue HSE now Shiny Silver Metropolis |
|
Hi, I've previously posted my problem with my 2005 HSE and its persistant water leak and sodden footwells. It has now been permanantly replaced with 2006 Zermatt Metropolis that I had on loan. After driving the "Monstropolis" for 10weeks without any problems we couldn't not do it! Tried the X5, 5 series touring, XC90, Toerag, and looked at others, but nothing else comes close to the D3. Dealer did trade for trade price less goodwill sum, transferred private plate, multiheight tow bar, RTI insurance and outstanding finance. Now have serious permagrin once more.

Fantastic... glad to hear it. Always good to hear tales like that isn't it? The ones which don't end in 'and I'm never buying one again '. 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7
2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE G4 Challenge (1 of 68)
2023 Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE

landrovers and dead elephants |

What does happen to all the bad, sad landrovers everybody gets rid of. There is a certain NV54 of mine out there some where. I still have a tear in the eye when I think of it. Told the kids it had gone to live on a farm in the country. Gives you a different impression of the average dealer forecourt.

The Shiny Blue HSE is back on the LR dealer forecourt. The leak/s was sorted by the dealer under guidance from LRUK in the end. The interior was stripped out completely (twice), and vehicle left outside in the rain until the leak/s could be tracked down and fixed. Headlining and other items replaced, valeted it looks superb. Whoever buys it will not know the problem was there. It took too long, although I could have had it back , its just that I would have missed an oppurtunity to have the Metropolis and if another fault occured with it......
