Shooters!!

Hello to all you Shooters out there.

My lil bro is a keen shootist and has a RRS (i know I have tried to talk to him!)

He had a shoot in Wales yesterday and nearly rolled his pride and joy in mud and snow covered ground.

He has road summer tyres on 20's at the moment and has asked me what is the very best M & S tyre for his old set of 19's.

They also have to be able to blast back down the motorway at RRS speeds after the shoot!

And no he isnt a drug dealer he earns more than them...........................hes a Whistle plumber!!!

Your experiences and recommendations are very much appreciated! Thumbs Up

I have Goodyear MT/R 255/55 R19" on my 19" rims for my RRS TDV8. They are excellent in the snow but limited to 112mph speed rating on the road. Thumbs Up

If he wants to keep his 20's, just tell him to get a set of Cooper Zeon LTZ's.
An excellent AT tyre with great on road performance & no extra noise.
Everything he'll need in just one tyre.
[with 285/50/20, sidewall profile is slightly greater than a 255/55/19]
Thumbs Up

He can then sell on the 19's to someone on here.

Mine have done [muddy]Tong, [all terrain] Kielder and the [rocky] Lakes.
Never failed .... then a blast down the motorway when the off road day is over.
Oh, and also great in the snow.

I think he will kep the 19 on for the shooting season then go back to pimping his ride with 20 when its over.

However with twins on the horizon SWMBO may have a different idea!! Whistle

The guy who runs the local shoot to me has a FFRR TDV8 and fitted a set of MT/Rs, though he's always moaning about the increase road noise. You can't have it both way's i keep telling him. Laughing
