Side Lights always on "How To"
My mate has a D3 and the side lights are on all the time ?
Like a VOLVO or SAAB would be ?
I like the idea of this and wondered if or how it could be done ?
I normally leave the lights on Auto ! but to have the side lights on in the day i have to flick it left to side only,
What i would like to know is ?
Can i have the switch on Auto so the main beam comes on in poor light but also have the side lights on too so that when main beam drops off the side lights stay on !
I think i know what i mean ?
Wiggs !!
anyone ?

Wiggs,
I enabled Scandinavian Daylights and you're right, both the sidelights and dipped beam are on. I turned mine off in the end and reverted to leaving auto lights on.Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME

Believe it's Canadian daylights.

The Canadian-spec DRLs also use the dipped meam (unless you're in 'N' or 'P', when they switch off) ...Regards,

As a 'biker' as well, the new legislation of cars to all have 'running lights', a la Scandinavia, is potential increase in accidents waiting to happen for those of us on two wheels.
There are already enough SMIDSY's* on the roads and soon with everybody running daytime lights we'll be even more invisible
Canadian spec switches on side & main dipped lights when you release the EPB with main light switch turned off . When you re engage EPB they switch off .
When you switch on lights via dash switch this then gets overriden and you can have side or side & main lights for night time running
