This all makes interesting reading - I had a D4 on demo last year and I thought the main beam lights while good were stupidly high at the sides and not as good as my D3 looking forward. Mentioned this when I gave the car back and they just said they would check it - it didn't have the adaptive lights and the one I have ordered for March has. I hope this gets sorted because as you all say it is really distracting to be able to see birds roosting in the treetops! Shocked

Back to the front LED light question, I picked up my new 2010 MY D4 GS last week and the front LED do not work and it clearly states in the advertising gumph,
''LED front side lights and rear tail lights'', does this mean they have n't been fitted, enabled or just not connected, any one know the answer ? Before I waste my time back at the dealers to my Embarassed Embarassed

SharkyShanks - some retailers operate what was known as "fluid pricing" Shocked whereby prices alter frequently... my experience of the D3 in its early days was that there was "fluid spec'ing" Rolling Eyes (literature then referred to issues such as Bluetooth etc which weren't then included in early models despite being sold as such, and there are numerous reports of "odd" specs of different badged models.

It sounds as if the led's are a similar issue - just this time LR seem to be avoiding issuing paper brochures Laughing so you can't demonstrate what you were expecting to get unless you have stored/printed the online brochure!, the on-line brochures seem to have recently been updated to highlight the lack of led's other than on Xenon spec'd cars but this was NOT the case with the initial marketing blurb Shocked

Sorry to drag this back to the high beam component of this thread - but for those who've been interested in this part of the discussion I've just posted some pictures I took last night here:

I think they'll illustrate the grumble quite nicely.
