Silicon awning rail?

It was a heck of a job to pull the awning into the rail on our new caravan this weekend. I've got some silicon based lubricant spray in the garage. Do you think this will help make it slide in easier if I sprayed some in the rail beforehand?

Cheers,
 Bri

Possibly but Thetford also produce a toilet seal spray which the label says is suitable.

Even a spray of water would help Thumbs Up

It may also get easier the more it's used Thumbs Up

Thanks gents, looks like I need a brush and some silicon lube. Some people have suggested Mr Sheen!!

As long as I don't end up all sweaty again, I don't mind.

I can see how this thread could quickly go wrong Laughing

Thanks for the advice! Thumbs Up
