Someone with a camera must have fitted them by now.

I have just fitted mine this afternoon, and they look real good. They took me 10 minutes to fit, and they suit the car perfectly.
I will get you a photo tomorrow if nobody else can oblige, its dark and wet outside now.

Sill Protectors.
Received my sill protectors yesterday. Postman called 07 55am!! Higfhly delighted with them.
Now the silly bit. I have been looking at the door aperture and my immediate reaction was to fit them dead centre. The floor immediately in from the sill has a plastic/heavy rubber inset and the sills would line up with that. However the thought occured to me that perhaps the sills should be postioned slightly further forward to cover the part of the sill over which shoes and boots might drag. End result might look a bit cock-eyed? Any views?

Fitting was simple - clean the area and stick 'em on. 2 x photos in my gallery.
The front ones are fine. However, given the choice I'd like the rear ones to cover a greater length. They are just a bit too short to give the kind of protection to the sills I want. The combination of an evil gritstone drive and 3 young kids has given the sills a real hammering, and the paint work either side of the new plates still gets a good kicking.
Notwithstanding my gripe about the length of the rear plates, the package is so much better than the LR equivalent, which is frankly a joke. So, cheers Rob!2006 TDV6 HSE

The plates are made just to stop short of the curvature of the sill ends.
To make them longer would require a double curvature, the 'lip' plus the end curves. This requires a press stamping process which is extremely expensive.
Check the fit without removing the tape cover, slide them backwards and forwards and you will see what I mean. They will rise up 'off sill' if only slightly close to the ends.
I will double check the 'rears' length but I was very careful over the measurement.
No offence to anyone but if I made them a 'dead fit' lengthwise they would be difficult to fit exactly, defeating some people.
The adhesive tape only gives you one chance to position them right, it has to, to make sure they don't come off.
Anyone who needs replacement tape, drop me an email.
I've added the MJD3 gallery pic of the front sill. (With apologies if wrong)
