Sinking seat fix????

After much badgering, my dealer claims to have performed the first of a 2 stage Land Rover fix for the sinking seat problem.

Why he has not done the whole thing, I have no idea, but he has said that if I still have problems, he will perform the second stage??

The seat or lever does not look any different and I didn't collect the car thus no one has spoken to me or demonstrated the fix.

Will let you all know.

My sinking seat problem is now escalated back into solihull via LRCS. They say that they are still investigating why it sinks over the course of a journey, and not just the usual problem of sinking because the lever is caught when getting in and out, which to my mind is still a LR design issue.

Ah, I've got the same problem, seat sinks with time, have to pump it up each time I get in the car. It probably does it whilst I'm driving but haven't noticed as yet. Would like to know why, and how it was fixed, so I can advise dealer.

After time, if you leave the seat in its "rested" position, you sort of get use to it. I just leave it down now ..

Is that why the photo in your avatar is only the bottom half of the D3 ?

To be honest you do feel more connected to the car with the seat lower rather than sitting on the car with it raised... most people tend to have it too high.

But mine sinks and its damn annoying... so will ask for this fix to be done.

Well I can report that the 1st stage fix, whatever that is, has not changed a thing.
