Six pot conversion

Hi all, thinking of doing the six pot big brake conversion so looking for advice from those who have done it or about to do it, Gordon.

Done it on my RRS, waiting for my discs and splash guards to arrive and then will do it to my D4 Commercial.

It's very easy and straight forward, as long as you get the right calipers, also I won't use cheaper discs.

My discs of choice are Brembo High Carbon Content, these and quality ceramic pads means very low brake dust and excellent braking.

Many use alternatives, some with no problems and others with negative results, like everything, you get what you pay for.

I take it you'll have used genuine Brembo six pots I was wondering what the kits with the six pot calipers, discs, pads etc the calipers won't be Brembo but are they any good.Anyone used one of those kits?

I've seen these Brembo lookalike kits, and my only concern was parts should you need them.

For both of my sets I have bought genuine Land Rover stamped items from fleabay, both second hand and both needed nothing apart from a clean and new pins.

My discs come with retaining screws, so just add new caliper bolts and the jobs a goodun.

The only overly expensive for what they are items are the dust/splash guards that on a Disco have to be changed.
