We just done our first family skiing trip. Wife and I gave been quite a bit before the kids arrived. Booked a package through Crystal Ski ( part of tui) to LA thuile in Italy. Great value, great time, booked again for next year already. Get lessons and hires in the package. So easy. Hotel was good, food was fantastic, 5 courses!

I’ve used crystal a few times now too. Especially when going alone or with a mate. Good value and service to be fair.

Also.. Wasn't the dry slope ay Sheffield shut down after a fire etc years ago?

It may have, it's a long time since I went, I only suggested Sheffield as it is no to far from the OP.

Yeah I think it was closed down a fair few years ago.. a shame really..

This video is worth checking out though..

They are apparently planning to restore the Sheffield ski village.

I'm spending the winter in Chamonix, well just outside. Just down the road is a place called Les Houches, and its a great beginners area. I spent the weekend giving snowboarding a go (its Censored ) and the green runs were perfect beginner slopes.

This hotel is great, would be a lovely family holiday:
