This is another alternative: http://www.flextrax.com However, I think it only fits well on the rear of the Disco 3/LR3 (at least with the stock 19" wheels) -- which is against Land Rover's "front only" recommendation. It's excellent for mud, though.

Hello everyone.
I have an HSE with 19" wheels and my manual doesn't mention 19" either; so it implicitly seems not to advise use of chains on any wheel.
Anyway, I spent a week in the Pyrenees with snow and ice and didn't have any problems without chains on the roads, as they were clean enough that chains were not mandatory at the time. The police were on the lookout. It was slippery, but the LR3 handled very well. Even driving around small mountain villages with some snow and ice, you just have to be careful.
I did have problems going up-hill out of the house: a very small steep space, covered with ice. It cost me some scratches on the paint and fenders, but I learned the lesson.
