Dead Scorpions.

Andy
After 32000 my original scorpions are dead, looks like Vredestein Wintrac 4 are a good option from all reports and more favourable than scorpion atr on the pocket. depending on price might swap all five. Whats your price on 255/55 r19 111v. Probably need to include courier to DE6, I live near Ashbourne.
Drop me a pm?
Cheers

Dead Scorpions

Andy spoke with one of your colleagues today(6th) and subsequently sourced some vred 4's locally very competitively. No need to respond to my previous post now. Cheers BMW.

General question here about snow tyres. Sods law though, by fitting snow tyres now, 4 weeks after the stuff arrived, it'll be guaranteed to melt within days!

Anyway, finding the L4 to be pretty damned good in the conditions we have up here in the NE of Scotland just now... had it up to Glenshee yesterday and was overtaking cars on about 2/3 inches of unploughed road with no probs. Only issues I get is into corners, where the obvious weight causes a bit of understeer. But it soon sorts itself out before it ploughs straight into the bank.

But - big question is, will fitting a set of dedicated snow tyres really make that much odds (they certainly did in an audi quattro I had) and will it be worth the dosh? I mean, the Disco is a well planted vehicle as it is, but the standard Pirelli's aren't that magic.

Answers or thoughts?
