Snowdonia: with some help from DG's routes :)

Having spent Christmas on Dartmoor and the promise of snow having come to nothing, we decided that a little jaunt to Snowdonia was in order Wink

SWMBO dutifully dusted off her OS maps and off we went ..... reaching Betwys-y-coed 5 hours later and just in time in for breakfast. Having arrived in North Wales earlier than expected we did a quick tour round the Lleyn Peninsula before stopping in Beddgelert for the night. Then today we headed out across Snowdonia on some of the narrowest tracks ever and one right across the national park. Plenty of concentration needed and HDC came in very useful. Thanks DG for route info Thumbs Up

This looks like a great day out! When I eventually become a LR owner I will be picking your brains for these routes if you don't mind!
How hard was the route to navigate? I would be interested in more pics if you have any?

Well I have now stepped into the world of LR, and as mentioned above I would be very interested in info & routes like these pictured to explore.
I'm not looking to go 'off road' as in anything extreme just yet but slightly off the beaten track like in these pics would make a great day out.Do you guys have any more info?

OK ...spilling Laughing

I used OSMaps online to create the route shown ...you can export the GPX. You have to have premium OS account to see some features including the 1:25000 scale using the map type selector bottom left next to the distance scale. Its £20 a year if you do want to subscribe, which I think is good value if you use them fairly regularly.

That's great! Thanks DG!
Are all of these routes tame or is there some I should avoid? Ive not exactly got off road experience just looking for a bit of an adventure & family day out off the main roads.
