[For Sale] 2008 Disco 3 **SOLD**
**SOLD**
The time has come to sell my Disco 3 2.7 HSE with black (soft) leather interior.
Registered 30/05/2008 (Euro 4 engine).
MOT until 6th May 2018 (no advisories).
Stornoway Grey
3 former keepers (previous owner kept it for 3 years, I’ve had the car for 1yr and 4 months)
NON smoker car (actually, no smells in the car – I’m very sensitive to this with my cars).
As a 2008 car, it also has the piano black dash bits and electric steering column (which is also memory controlled by the seat memory or Key)
2 good working keys
2 x almost new (Feb 2017) Goodyear Wrangler tyres
2 x 6mm Continental contact 4x4 tyres
1 x 7mm Goodyear Wrangler full size spare.
Full LR rubber mats (inc boot) are included and the carpet below the mats is very good / very clean.
There is no smoke, everything works as it should (inc all electrics, sat nav, CD player, windows, terrain response, air suspension etc etc – it just all works).
The sunroof works and doesn't leak, actually, there are no leaks / wet carpets etc.
I also have the original side steps and plastic sill covers if the new owner wants them (I much prefer the sliders and they are really good as steps as I’ve added gripper tape to the tops to stop your feet sliding).
The full history is listed below, but just a couple of things to highlight,
• The oil pump is the latest (strong) design – photos to prove.
• Cam Belt and rear fuel belt changed at 107K miles
• Current mileage is 125K
• No gearbox judder
• All round V8 brake upgrade plus new calipers
• Pretty much everything already changed that ever goes wrong.
• Very full and extensive maintenance list as below
Reasons for sale – I now have a small commuter car (so would only use the disco on the odd weekend trip) and have limited space on the drive.
Service History
16917 18/03/09 Hartwell LR
31460 24/11/09 Hartwell LR
45761 03/08/10 Guy Salmon LR

66973 18/07/12 Kings LR

The following additional items all carried out by Cross motor eng in 2014 @ 85K
Auto box oil flush
Rear Diff seals
Battery
Alternator
Front Wishbones
Front wheel bearings
EGR’s removed (s/w patch applied – no faults)
(I confirmed all the above by phone with them – plus the below is stamped in the book and confirmed by phone)
107400 01/10/15 Cross motor engineering (Indi)
Service plus Cambelt and rear fuel pump belt
I purchased the car in May 2016 (112700 miles) and partly as preventative and partly as some things needed doing, the following has been done whilst i have had the car.
All genuine LR parts and oils etc.

OIL pump checked !!! (I have photographic evidence it’s the strong/new design)
Air Filter & Pollen Filter
Bonnet switch
Engine oil and oil filter
Front and rear diff oils
Front suspension valve clean (remove the white dust particles)
EPB adjusted
Auto Transmission triple oil change (yes triple in order to change most of the oil – this follows the flush at 85K by Cross motor engineering).
Front left and Right wheel bearings
Coolant replaced
July 2016
4 x ride height sensors (1 was faulty but I replaced all 4)
Diesel fuel filter
Intercooler hoses
Air suspension compressor
PAS fluid

MAF replaced
MAP replaced

Left and Right Rear calipers
EPB shoes (and bed in – re-adjust)
Brake fluid (complete replace)
120696 22/02/17 Oil and Filter service + L&R rear upper wishbones MJ Services Ltd
At this time, I also got MJ Services (very good LR Indi) to replace the rear upper wishbones and carry out 4 wheel alignment (I didn’t want to tackle this myself). Wish bones are genuine LR Sport wishbones (and very good they are as well).
May 2017
Left and Right Front Brake calipers replaced
Front right hand brake pad cable

Hi Ben, you could be right, i used them a couple of times and then over the winter for a couple of months but they have mostly been on holiday in the garage.

Gave the Disco a bit of a valet inside today and took some better pictures for the post. Also realised i hadn't included any of the boot, so added these as well.
(the Full LR rubber mats are still included, i just took them out for the pictures to show the carpet).

Hi Pritch109,
I'm not sure what you are seeing in the pictures, perhaps the gloss black uprights either side of the centre console (instead of the silver ones)?
On this year/spec of the car they are factory fit.
There are no panels missing and there are no problems with the sat nav or any of the audio systems.
