Solved-Car stuck on Mway (updated)

A very good friend of mine has just called me on his way to France, saying his 2010 D4 is spluttering and missing very badly.

Now I know we cant diagnose, but he asked me if it would display these symptoms if he has overfilled it with oil.

He has admitted he just poured a load in before leaving (he has no idea about this stuff-idiot!).

Would the car tell him if the oil level was too high?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. In fact he just called me and it does say overfilled.

I have suggested he call Green Flag and get them to suck some out.

Would overfill give these symptoms?

Sounds more like misfuelling. If he's just filled up, get him to check what the receipt says Crying or Very sad

Thanks for the quick responses last night.

He was collected by Green Flag, the car sent to a local indy and he went home, picked up his new FFRR and set off again!

No idea why he didnt go in that in the first place-MY18 and very nice indeed.

Just got it back today and it was some wires in the fuel tank that had chaffed or worn out.

Tank out and repaired along with fuel gauge sender (or sensor?).

His fuel gauge had been reading empty for a while too.
